For days, a butterfly struggled to force its body through a little hole in a cocoon, without making much progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could. A girl, who observed, took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon to help the butterfly. With easy the butterfly them emerged, but it had a bloated body and shriveled wings; and it remained like that for the rest of its life, crawling around. It was never able to fly. You see, the restrictiong cocoon and the strugle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God’s way of forcing fliud from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight, once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If we would go through our lives without obstacles, it will cripple us –
